Intuitive Abstract Painting | Heather Mattioni, instructor

Explore your inner artist through playful color, bold shapes and spontaneous mark-making in this guided abstract painting class. Using a layered approach, we’ll experiment with acrylic paint, ink and mixed media to build depth, movement and emotion on the canvas.

You’ll be encouraged to let go of perfection and follow your intuition, adding textures, lines and symbols that speak to your story. Whether you're layering brush strokes, stamping shapes or scribbling with markers, this class is all about freedom through form.

What We’ll Do:

• Begin with a warm-up: expressive marks on paper
• Build layers of paint using brush, sponge or scraping techniques
• Add personal touches like doodles, circles, symbols or text
• Leave with a finished piece full of color, energy, and meaning
